Château Saleza is located in Bruges-Capbis-Mifaget, a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in southwestern France. It is also called Château de Castellou but most people call it Château Saleza due to it’s famous previous owner.

It was built in 1803, as a manor house and when purchased by the famous tenor Albert Saleza, it was expanded to become a castle. The original castle used to have many hectares of land that were sold over the years by Albert Saleza’s son and later proprietors of the Château. Currently the Château includes 3,5 hectares (35,000 M) of land with a very large manicured garden.

The property consist of the main building and a large separate building that used to be the stables but now is converted into a interior pool, cinema and gym. There are also 3 separate apartments on the property. The current owners bought the Château in 2010 and renovated it for 5 years. The original building and roof were in perfect state but all electrical work needed to be replaced as well as adding insulation, heating and other modern conveniences.
